Hello I am Lars Christensen; I am the new Upper Weber Watershed Coordinator. I would like to introduce myself and let you all know a little about me. I recently graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Environmental Soil and Water Sciences with an emphasis in water.
I have lived in Utah my whole life, I grew up in Taylorsville. My wife (who is from West Valley) and I will have been married nine years this December. We have three kids; two girls and a boy in the middle ages 3, 5, and 7. Our fourth will arrive sometime in April. My wife has also recently finished her studies to be a Master Herbalist. In my free time I enjoy sailing, fishing, camping, RC rock crawlers and planes, and recently I have been trying to get into whitewater kayaking and kite boarding.
One of my goals for this position is to help people gain a feeling of responsibility and stewardship toward the resources that we all enjoy and share, by helping to improve their uses and repair damages that have occurred, so that future generations will have access to these same resources. I look forward to working with and getting to know all of you.
