Since the East Canyon Creek and Reservoir TMDLs were completed in 2000, the East Canyon Watershed Committee has worked tirelessly to  improve water quality.  The Committee has been integral in working with landowners, developing projects, securing funding, providing match, conducting outreach, and overseeing studies in the East Canyon Watershed.  The results of these efforts are compiled in a final report available here .

East Canyon Phosphorus Map Tool

Certain areas of the East Canyon Watershed contain soils that are highly susceptible to erosion of phosphorus-rich soils. Extra care is needed when excavating these soils.  The link below will allow you to determine if you are in one of the susceptible areas.  www.eastcanyoncreek.org/maptool.
